Admission

  • The Admission Office is located on the ground floor of the Hospital:
    • Offical working hours: All weekdays except Sunday.
    • From 07:00 am till 03:00 pm
    • Admission Office admits patients on an exceptional basis for emergency cases outside offical working hours, depending on a prior agreement.
  • Role and duties of Admission Office:
    • Providing care for incoming patients and facilitating entrance and discharge procedures.
    • Receiving new patients, initiating admission procedures, opening an administrative file and coordinating with doctors to open a new medical records, as well as coordinating with the social workers to open the social file.
    • Coordinating with the Accounting and IT departments for billing and reimbursement.
  • Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamia Hospital is contracted with:
    • Ministry of Public Health (Lebanese citizens not covered by other guarantor / insurance institutions)
      Mental and Psychiatric diseases – Long term stay.
      Mental and Psychiatric diseases – Short term stay – hospitalization.
      Chronic diseases – Elderly and Geriatrics – Long term stay.
      RESCU – Coma and Incurable diseases.
    • UNRWA – (Palestinians with UNRWA resident cards)
      Mental and Psychiatric diseases – Long term stay.
      Chronic diseases – Elderly and Geriatrics – Long term stay.
    • Private patients – (Expenses paid by the patients themselves)
      Hospitalization – Short term stay.
  • Visiting Hours:
    • For all departments except RESCU:
      From 10:00 am till 12:00 noon.
      From 02:00 pm till 06:00 pm.
    • RESCU:
      From 11:00 am till 12:00 noon.
      From 03:00 pm till 04:00 pm.
  • Patient Admission Criteria:
    • Submission of Identify Card.
    • Submission of previous medical and diagnostic reports.
    • Examinitation by Hospital doctor.
    • Approval of specialized hospital doctor to admit patient.
    • Availability of empty bed.
    • Approval of guarantor institution (MOH, UNRWA).
